Raised in a musical family, Laura Sullivan began playing the piano at 4 years old. At age 8 she was writing compositions and by 18 had composed a body of work, including 6 feature length musicals. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Piano Performance with honors from CSU Chico with further graduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her work is included in film scores, and other media soundtrack. She will be a featured artist in a pilot TV show called Music Across America produced by legendary musician and 2004 Grammy nominee, Stanley Clarke.
Laura is a member of the piano artist collective Whisperings founded by composer, pianist and radio programmer, David Nevue. This artist community promotes through its radio station and concert tours in which she performs beside artists including David Nevue, Scott D. Davis, Suzanne Ciani and David Lanz.
Laura has released 3 CD’s of her original New Age music with distribution on Delvian Records. Her two recent releases were produced by renowned artist Chris Camozzi, (appearing with artists Jeff Lorber, Michael Bolton, Maria Carey, Barbara Streisand and many others). These albums debuted at #3 on Itunes New Age and sustained a rank in the Top Ten downloaded CDs for over 3 months. Kathy Parsons of Solo Piano Publications writes: "A strong and passionate pianist, Laura Sullivan brings a distinctive new voice to contemporary piano." RJ Lannan of the New Age Reporter writes: “Laura Sullivan's music shimmers with an effervescent vitality.” Laura’s latest release was designated the number one best New Age album of 2004 by Bill Binkelman of Wind and Wire. It was also named one of the top albums of 2004 by Collected Sounds and received a Top Pick designation from Solo Piano Publications and Streams of Time.
