In 2006 Motoshi had the distinguished
honor of being named principal harpist of the Stockton Symphony Orchestra, under
the very capable baton of Conductor, Mr. Peter Jaffe. You can also see him playing
for the Folsom Lake Symphony Orchestra, Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra and
many Choirs.
In 2007 Motoshi won the second
place in the International Jazz and Pop Harp Competition. His ground breaking
style is also noted in Harp Column as “Motoshi
Kosako, a Japanese native whose introspective soloing was reminiscent
of Keith Jarrett.” In addition to recording two classical harp albums,
Motoshi released his first Jazz
album with his trio in April 2008 entitled Naked Wonder. A prolific composer,
Motoshi is now preparing for
the release of his second jazz harp CD. Delving into the world of electric harp,
Motoshi knows no limits. He is steadily gaining
worldwide attention and is available for regional and travel dates.
