Under Pressure consists of:
Lead vocalist Chuck DiMaria hails from the winter wonderland of Buffalo, NY. His past credits include the role of Judas opposite Ted Neeley in the national touring production of Jesus Christ Superstar, guest starring roles on Sabrina The Teenage Witch and also Hollywood Safari, where he starred opposite Sam Jones of Flash Gordon fame. Chuck, a nationally ranked martial artist and a current member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame, is also pursuing his doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine. And, because his life isn’t complicated enough, Chuck also writes a weekly column for online music magazine antiMUSIC.com entitled 2 Cents with Chuck DiMaria.
Lead guitarist Vin Amorando is a Berklee College alumnus and former leader of Amaranda, a hard rock act from the Tri State area. His other bands include Balance, Trial By Fire and Missilegap. A long-time Queen fan, he grew up in Bridgeport, CT, and was influenced by Brian May, Eddie Van halen, Brian Setzer, the Rev. Horton Heat and Jimmy Page.
Originally from Madrid, Spain, keyboard player Pancho Burgos graduated in Classical Piano Performance from Madrid Royal Conservatory, and in Classical Composition and Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music in Boston. A Queen fan since his early teens, Pancho has toured and recorded extensively through Spain and in the US. Among the numerous artists that Pancho has recorded and toured with are: Jazz singer Gabrielle Goodman, pop-rock band Blue Water, singer-songwriter Matt Chase, pop recording artist Chris Emmerson -- featured in the WB series Dawson's Creek -- and R&B recording artist Chrissy Poland. A Film Composer, Pancho just moved to LA to pursue his career as both a composer and performer.
A native of Milwaukee, WI, drummer Jeffrey Maxwell Shapiro has played in a myriad of original and tribute bands. In addition to Under Pressure, he is currently with glam rock band, The Touch. Former tribute bands include Sheer Heart Attack (Queen), BackBeat (Beatles), Fireball (Deep Purple), substituting with Sticky Fingers (Rolling Stones), and The Fab Four (Beatles). Jeffrey was also prominently featured in “Tribute: A Rockumentary” for his work with Sheer Heart Attack: A Royal Tribute To Queen, of which he was a founding member.
Bassist Beau Landry is a multi-talented singer-songwriter who just so happens to be a huge Queen fan. He was born in San
Jose, CA, and was raised in Gilroy before relocating to
Colorado. While living a mile high, he played in many different original and cover bands, cutting his musical teeth both onstage and in the recording studio. But the West Coast won out and he decided to head to Los Angeles and see what kind of trouble he could get into.
