Counterpoint is a high energy dance band that starts with a bang and keeps you on the dancefloor with one great tune after another. We are also seasoned jazz musicians and allow room for mellower moments. We play for your enjoyment, for your fun and for your good taste. We've got over 15 years experience playing corporate events, weddings, private parties, festivals and concerts.
Our 6 piece band consists of excellent players on Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards and Sax. The focal point of the group is our talented female singer who dances up a storm and is backed by three of the players singing harmony. We move easily from Jazz to Rock to Swing to Motown to Disco to Contemporary and will play a waltz or cha cha cha at your whim.
