UB 40 took their name from a British unemployment form. With worldwide sales grossing 30 million albums, UB 40 confirms how far a group can go by staying true to their roots. UB 40's fame crossed over to America due to the 1983 album, Labour Of Love, with its single, "Red, Red Wine." The song landed the band their first number one hit in the U.S. and then another hit single in July 1985 with "I Got You Babe."
