Bruce Hornsby is a singer, pianist, accordion player, and songwriter who is best known for the 1980s hit "The Way It Is", the top five hits "Mandolin Rain" and "The Valley Road.” In 1984 he formed Bruce Hornsby and the Range, who were signed to RCA Records in 1985. The album The Way It Is went multi-platinum and also another top five hit with "Mandolin Rain." In July 2006, he released a set titled Intersections to celebrate two decades of his music. Bruce Hornsby's newest album, Levitate, was released on September 15, 2009 and he plans to tour once again, in the near future.
