Colbie Caillat first realized that she wanted to be a singer in the sixth grade
so she began taking vocal lessons and performing onstage. Colbie Caillat auditioned for
American Idol at age 19, performing her original song, “Bubbly.” She
was rejected before she got the chance to sing for the judges, but that did not
stop the aspiring star. Her Myspace music page scored her a record deal and her
debut single, “Bubbly” reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and
number 2 on the Pop 100. The second single, “I Never Told You,” was
released in February 2010 and her highly anticipated album, I Do is due to be
released July 12, 2011.
